5-DIMENSIONAL DESIGN
Our 5-Dimensional design approach connects the fire protection system to the building type, project schedule, and cost, giving you a clear picture of what will be installed, when it will happen, and what it will cost.
FROM 2-DIMENSIONAL DRAWINGS TO 5-DIMENSIONAL DESIGN
Fire protection design has traditionally been communicated through 2-Dimensional drawings. 3-Dimensional Building Information Modeling (BIM) adds the building environment and the exact location of each component. By adding time and cost, 5-Dimensional design gives the project team a more complete view of the work before it reaches the field.
-
Traditional plans show the fire protection system in two dimensions.
-
Building Information Modeling (BIM) adds the third dimension, identifying the exact X, Y, and Z location of every pipe, sprinkler, and component.
-
The installation is connected to the project schedule, showing when the work will happen and how long it will take.
-
Cost is added to the design and schedule, providing detailed information about the work throughout construction.
WHERE
KNOW WHERE EVERY COMPONENT GOES
Our 3-Dimensional BIM process identifies the location of every pipe, sprinkler, and component within the building. We coordinate the fire protection system with other trades and use BIM-based clash detection for a seamless installation.
OUR DESIGN PROCESS SPANS:2-Dimensional and 3-Dimensional design
BIM modeling
Clash detection and coordination
Detailed component locations
Prefabrication-ready design
WHEN
KNOW WHEN THE WORK WILL HAPPEN
We determine the time required to install the fire protection system and integrate that information into the overall project schedule.
A CLEAR UNDERSTANDING OF:Installation duration
Project sequencing
Fire protection milestones
Coordination with other teams
Upcoming field work
HOW MUCH
KNOW WHAT THE WORK WILL COST
Our 5-Dimensional approach incorporates detailed cost information into the construction process. We provide cost analysis for each phase of construction, helping the project team understand the complete cost of the project.
ENSURES VISIBILITY ACROSS:Material and installation costs
Costs by construction phase
Changes in scope
Budget impacts
Overall fire protection costs
ONE DESIGN. A CLEARER PICTURE OF THE WORK.
5-Dimensional design connects the system layout, installation schedule, and project cost in one model. This gives the project team a clear view of where the system will be installed, when the work will happen, and what it will cost.
